Taylor Borough State of Emergency Revised 6/22/2020
The State of Emergency as declared by the Borough of Taylor on March 16, 2020 has been amended and modified. Public access to all Taylor Borough public buildings, parks and playgrounds will be open beginning on Monday June 29, 2020.
Upcoming Meetings Notice
The Taylor Planning Commission will conduct its Regular Meeting via teleconference on October 7, 2020 at 6:30 P.M. The Planning Agenda can be viewed on-line at taylorborough.com on Friday October 2, 2020 by 4:30 P.M.and will be posted at the Taylor Borough Building, front door window or by requesting one be sent by email or phone call to the Borough Secretary. Public comment can be made on any agenda item by submitting an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the Borough Building at (570) 562-1400 x110 up to 4:30 P.M. on the scheduled meeting date. The Press is invited.

Office hours for September, October, November and December are Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Masks are required for entrance to the Muncipal Building and Social Distancing Rules apply. More information can be found here.
Welcome to the official website of the Borough of Taylor. Taylor is a borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, four miles southwest of Scranton on the Lackawanna River. The history of Taylor Borough is an interesting journey. It was founded in 1790 by Cornelius Atherton. Silk manufacturing and coal mining were once practiced in the borough.
