Taylor Borough State of Emergency Revised 6/22/2020
The State of Emergency as declared by the Borough of Taylor on March 16, 2020 has been amended and modified. Public access to all Taylor Borough public buildings, parks and playgrounds will be open beginning on Monday June 29, 2020.
August 2020 Work Session’s and Council Meeting Notice
Taylor Borough Council will conduct its Work Sessions via teleconference on August 4, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. and on August 11, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. for General Purposes. The regular monthly meeting via teleconference on August 12, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. for General Purposes. Public comment can be made on any agenda items by submitting an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the Borough Building at (570) 562-1400 x110 up to 4:30 P.M. on the scheduled meeting dates. The Meeting Agenda(s) can be viewed on-line at taylorborough.com and will be posted at the Taylor Borough Building, front door window or by requesting one be sent by email or phone call to the Borough Secretary. The Press is invited.
Also, the work session scheduled for August 10, 2020 has been cancelled.

The Taylor Planning Commission Meeting scheduled for August 5, 2020 has been cancelled. The next scheduled meeting date will be September 2, 2020. Tentatively scheduled for 6:30 P.M. via teleconference.
Welcome to the official website of the Borough of Taylor. Taylor is a borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, four miles southwest of Scranton on the Lackawanna River. The history of Taylor Borough is an interesting journey. It was founded in 1790 by Cornelius Atherton. Silk manufacturing and coal mining were once practiced in the borough.
