Truck Zoo  Taylor library to offered educational program

Lights and sirens and big-rigs, oh my!

Children living in the Triboro community had a unique hands-on opportunity at the Taylor Community Library, as they explored its first-ever “truck zoo.”

“I was at a library conference that I had heard about another library where they did something like this,” said library director Jeanie Sluck. “This isn’t a new concept, but it is something we have never done here at the Taylor facility.”

The truck zoo  slated and featured Taylor  police and Taylor  fire vehicles, a Bobcat from Lane’s Crane and a dump truck from the borough. Additional vehicles may be added to the program. In additional to the display, equipment operators will be on site to explain the vehicles and various jobs to children attending the event.
