No plastic bags in recycling, this is considered contamination. Recycle material should be placed loosely in the container and the plastic bag either reused, taken back to the retailer or disposed of in the trash container.
Recycling containers are available to Borough residents. Proof of address must be shown before receiving a can. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the DPW Facility is open by appointment only. If you require a can please call 570-562-1413 and a time for you to pick up a can will be scheduled.
Reminder – Please keep recycling separated, Cans, Glass & Plastic one week, Paper & Cardboard the other. Do not place other items in with your recycling. Please rinse out cans, glass and plastic containers and leave the tops off them. Read Article Here
Recycling Schedule
Please note that recycling can be placed in open containers other than the traditional recycling cans. Capacity should be 35 gallons or less, color doesn’t matter.
Taylor Borough Yard Waste Pickup – Yard waste will be picked up each Monday. Yard & leaf waste should not be out for collection any sooner than 5:00 P.M. on the day before the scheduled collection day. The use of plastic bags is prohibited for the collection of all yard waste. Yard waste must be kept in separate containers and not mixed into containers with recycling or garbage.
